Isabel was born on 18 December 1874 at 12 Easton Street Gateshead in County Durham, UK, the first of 14 children born to William Lister Bramwell and Ann Brown between 1874 and 1901.
Isabel was baptised on the 2 June 1875.

John Robert Rutherford was born 3 December 1870 in Newcastle England. Isabel and John were both living in Edward Street when they got married, Isabella at no 58 and John at no 49.

They married on 20 October 1894 at Christ Church in Gateshead.

Isabel and John had five children who sadly died within a year of birth before Lilian was born in 1903.

John Rutherford passed away 19 October 1940 aged 69 years while Isabel passed away 27 April 1946 aged 71.
