Joshua Bramwell was born 27th July 1856 at Oakwellgate in Gateshead England to William Bramwell and Isabella Lister.

Ann Conder was born approx 1841 as Ann Hutchison. She was a widow when she met Joshua having been married previously to William Conder, who died in 1871.

Joshua was a cartman by trade when he married.

Throughout his life, Joshua was also known as Joseph. The records and documents we have show his name as both Joshua and Joseph.

Joshua and Ann married on 24th June 1877 at The Parish Church of St James in Gateshead England.

In the 1881 Census, it shows Joseph and Ann living at 36 Somerset Street Gateshead.

The enumerator for this census has filed their name incorrectly as Bramble, no wonder it took ages to find this Census.

The other interesting fact is all of Ann's children from her marriage to William Conder, are living with them at this address,
Dorothy, Elizabeth, William and Annie.

Ann passed away 7th April 1890 from Bronchitis at the age of 49 years at 38 Garden Street, Gateshead Durham UK.

Six months after the death of Ann, Joshua remarried on the 6th October to Isabella Richardson.
